Reflecting on the Sagrada Familia

The Gaudi pics from yesterday and today were both taken in http://www.gaudiallgaudi.com/AA009.htm( La Pedrera), one of the residential buildings in Barcelona designed by Gaudi and built between 1906-1910. Margo, you can find out more about it from the link and I will also be posting more pics.
Still more Gaudi to come but I'm probably only going to manage one pic a day for the rest of this week as I'm busy at work now that I'm back.

This one is a model of the http://www.gaudiallgaudi.com/AA009.htm(Sagrada Familia) (Temple of the Holy Family, also designed by Gaudi) placed on top of a mirror so that the ceiling above is reflected below.

To answer Click's comment from yesterday, a genius certainly and I would say a visionary rather than a madman. (But there's a fine line, consider William Blake, for example.)

Crystal Palace Station

Had to wait half an hour for a train at the end of our walk but there was plenty to photograph...

Re. yesterday's pic - Marylin? Sofia? I'm not sure. It's a painting on the wall of a kebab shop in Archway, close to where I live. One of those things I'd been meaning to photograph for ages and finally did. I don't know why it was put there. It always makes me think of a land girl - the Women's Land Army was recruited to work on farms producing food during the last war. I came across this interesting historical document http://www.learningcurve.gov.uk/homefront/women/pdf/land.pdf(The Land Girl )April 1943, price 3d, so you can see what I mean.

Btw, if I'm not around for a while it's because I'm about to go off to Barcelona. Will be back on June 1st. Although I'm not going until Saturday, I have to go to work for the rest of this week and haven't even thought about what I need to do to prepare for my trip...

Anyone for cricket?

Although it's not the weather for it today. Grey cold and wet again. A contrast to the hot sun last Sunday when we walked past Kent County Cricket Club.
